CHAMPIONSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION

The Championship will take place from Monday the 14th of September to Friday the 17th of September 2010

Competition Format:
Ladies and Men's Team Championship "No MIXED Teams"
Team of 4 players defending the colours of their golf clubs and Country
Open to all countries

Handicaps:
The championship is open to anyone with an official handicap.
Playing handicap will be a maximum of 28 for men and 32 for ladies

Schedule of Events:
-  Monday  14th:  Registration
-  Tuesday 15th:  Practise Round at one of the participating Golf Courses
-  Wednesday 16th:  Game one at Arklow Links – four ball - Stableford ¾ hdp
-  Thursday 17th:  Game two at Blainroe Golf Club – Greensomes Stroke Play -½ combined hdp.
-  Friday 18th:  Game three at Powerscourt Golf Club- Single Stableford -full hdp.
-  Friday Evening Ball with Prize Giving Ceremony (venue to be determined)

Tee times:
Practice Tee time:  defined at time of booking (see details on practice game)
Championship Tee Time:  two shot gun sessions per day starting at 8.30am for morning play and at 1.30pm for afternoon session

Playing Format

• Four Ball Stableford:  In a Best Ball tournament, all members of each team play their own balls on each hole. At the completion of the hole, the lowest score among all team members serves as the team score.
  ¾ of individual Handicap.
• Greensomes -Stroke Play:  Greensomes is a competition format that is a variation of foursomes (2-person teams, each playing one ball).
  Players on a team tee off, the best of the two tee balls is selected and that ball is then played alternate-shot until holed.
  ½ of combined handicap
• Single Stroke Play -Stableford:  Each player plays 18 holes, counting their own score.
  Team score - Best two score to count
  Stableford - full handicap.

Rules of Golf:
The Irish-Interclub Championship shall be conducted in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the "Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St.Andrews" (R&A) and the Local Rules of the Tournament and its Host Clubs.

Championship Price:
€ 1280 per team of 4 if paid before May 31st 2010 (€320 per person)
€ 1400 per team of 4 if paid after August 31st 2010 (€350 per person)
Payment deadline August 31st
€ 200 mandatory deposit payment per Team on application (deducted from final payment)

• Light refreshments at registration
• Tournament Green Fees on the 3 selected courses
• Practice Round Green Fee on chosen/given course
• Friday Evening Gala Ball and Prize Giving Ceremony
